Description
Spooky Spider Macarons are a quick and playful Halloween treat made with chocolate macarons, matchmaker sticks, icing, and candy eyes. No baking needed—just assemble and serve!
Ingredients
6 small chocolate macarons (store-bought or homemade)
12 chocolate matchmaker sticks (any flavor)
1 small tube of ready-made writing icing
12 edible candy eyeballs
Instructions
-
Carefully slice each chocolate macaron in half with a thin knife—macarons are delicate, so work gently to separate the top and bottom shells.
-
Break or slice each chocolate matchmaker stick into four approximately equal-length pieces.
-
Take 8 of those pieces and press them into the filling or bottom shell around the center—these will become your spider’s eight legs.
-
Gently place the macaron top back onto the bottom, sandwiching the “legs” in place.
-
Use the writing icing as edible glue: pipe two dots of icing onto each assembled spider, then affix two candy eyeballs to create its spooky gaze.
-
Gently place your spooky spider macarons on a festive platter, all set to scurry into the spotlight and charm your guests!
Notes
Handle macarons gently to avoid cracks. If matchmaker legs slide, use a dab of icing to secure them in place. Store at room temperature for best texture.
