Ingredients
2 cups barbecue sauce (hickory brown sugar recommended)
1 cup bourbon
½ cup honey
⅓ cup molasses
¼ cup sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 pounds fully cooked frozen meatballs, thawed
Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
In a medium bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, bourbon, honey, molasses, sweet chili sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
Place thawed meatballs into your slow cooker.
Drizzle the sauce over the meatballs and toss gently to coat them evenly.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving, if desired.
Notes
You can use turkey, beef, pork, or plant-based meatballs.
To reduce the sweetness, cut the honey in half or use a low-sugar barbecue sauce.
Want a bit more kick? Add a teaspoon of hot sauce to the mix.
