Ingredients

1 small seedless watermelon or ½ large, cubed

8 apples (1 reserved for stars)

½ yellow honeydew melon, cubed

4 cups strawberries, halved or quartered

2 cups raspberries

2 cups blueberries

1 cup red grapes

1 cup blackberries

Lemon juice (1 tbsp per 1 cup water for apple soak)
Instructions

Wash and dry all fruits.

Cube watermelon, honeydew, and apples. Slice strawberries as needed.

Soak apple slices in lemon water (1 tbsp lemon juice per cup of water) for 10 minutes if prepping ahead.

Layer blueberries and blackberries in the top left corner of the tray.

Create alternating red and white fruit stripes to form the flag.

Slice one apple horizontally and cut stars using a small cookie cutter. Place stars on the blue fruit section.
Notes
Chill fruits before assembling for extra refreshment. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Use firm fruits for best texture. Try variations with canary melon, mango, or a citrus-honey dressing.
