Ingredients

  • 7 Tbsp unsalted butter (100g)

  • 6 large yellow peaches (about 900g), peeled and sliced

  • ยผ cup packed brown sugar (55g)

  • ยผ cup granulated sugar (50g)

Cobbler Topping:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (120g)

  • ยพ cup granulated sugar (150g)

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • ยผ tsp salt

  • ยพ cup milk (180ml)

  • ยฝ tsp ground cinnamon


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).

  • Slice butter and place in 9ร—13โ€ณ dish. Melt in oven.

  • Cook peaches with sugars until syrupy, about 3โ€“5 mins.

  • Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl. Stir in milk.

  • Pour batter over melted butter (do not stir).

  • Spoon peach mixture with juices on top. Leave gaps for topping to rise.

  • Bake 40โ€“45 minutes until golden and springy.

  • Cool 10โ€“15 mins before serving.


Notes

  • Donโ€™t overcook the peachesโ€”theyโ€™ll soften more while baking.

  • Leave gaps when adding peaches to let the topping bubble through.

  • If the topping browns too fast, tent loosely with foil.

  • Serve warm with ice cream or yogurt for a cozy finish.
