This One-Pot Honey Garlic Chicken and Noodles recipe combines tender chicken, savory-sweet sauce, and perfectly cooked noodles for a flavorful dinner ready in just 30 minutes — all in one pot for easy cleanup!
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound (450 g) chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
8 ounces (225 g) noodles (lo mein or spaghetti)
2 cups chicken broth
1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons chopped green onions (for garnish)
Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add chicken and sauté 5–6 minutes until golden. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, cook garlic and onion until fragrant.
Stir in honey, soy sauce, hoisin, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Add chicken broth and uncooked noodles. Stir well, cover, and cook 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Return chicken to the skillet, add cornstarch slurry, and cook for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Use udon, egg noodles, or rice noodles for variation.
Add vegetables like broccoli, bell peppers, or snow peas for extra flavor.
Substitute tamari and gluten-free noodles for a gluten-free version.
