Description
Kid-Friendly Halloween Snacks are quick, festive treats made with fruits, cheese, and chocolate. Perfect for spooky parties and fun kitchen time with kids!
Ingredients
2 oz dark chocolate, chopped
2 oz white candy melts, chopped
2 bananas
8–10 strawberries
4–6 clementines or mandarins
2–3 cilantro or parsley stems
3–4 mozzarella cheese sticks
12–16 pretzel sticks
4 kiwis
Candy eyeball sprinkles
Instructions
- Prep the Chocolate
Melt the dark chocolate and white candy melts in the microwave using 20-second bursts, stirring between each—until smooth. Transfer each into piping bags and snip off the tips. - Boo-nanas
Peel bananas and slice them in half. Pipe dark chocolate onto the bananas to create eerie eyes and wide, ghostly “O” mouths. - Killer Strawberries
Hull the strawberries so they sit flat. Pipe a “U”-shaped mouth in dark chocolate. Add jagged white chocolate “teeth” from the edge inward. - Orange Pumpkins
Peel the clementines. Insert cilantro or parsley stems into each to mimic pumpkin stems. - Pretzel Brooms
Peel mozzarella sticks and cut each into thirds. Snip the bottom of each piece to mimic bristles. Insert a pretzel stick in the top to create a broom handle. - Franken-Kiwis
Remove the fuzzy skin from the bottom two-thirds of each kiwi. Slice them in half and pat dry. Use dark chocolate to draw a scar or mouth, then attach eyeball sprinkles with more chocolate. Add broken pretzel pieces on either side for “bolts”.
Notes
You can prep ingredients ahead of time and store them refrigerated. For more color, use candy melts or food-safe glitter for added flair.
