Description

This Honey Hot Chicken Salad is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy with juicy chicken, crisp veggies, and a creamy dressing. Quick to prep and packed with bold flavor, it’s ideal for easy meals, meal prep, or even wraps!

Ingredients

Scale

2 cooked chicken breasts, diced

1/4 cup honey garlic sauce

1/4 cup buffalo wing sauce (or any hot sauce like Frank’s RedHot)

2 heads romaine lettuce, chopped

36 tablespoons ranch dressing or any dressing of choice

1/2 medium red onion, diced

1 large red bell pepper, diced

1/2 large cucumber, diced

Shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine the diced cooked chicken with the honey garlic sauce and buffalo (or hot) sauce. Toss thoroughly until the chicken is completely coated.
  2. In a larger bowl, toss the chopped romaine lettuce with your preferred amount of ranch (or alternative) dressing, ensuring even coverage.
  3. Divide the dressed lettuce between two plates or bowls.
  4. Top each with the chicken mixture, followed by diced red onion, red bell pepper, cucumber, and cheese if using.
  5. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

For milder heat, reduce the hot sauce or choose a milder version.

Swap chicken for tofu or chickpeas for a vegan version.

Use as a wrap or hoagie filling.

Prep ingredients ahead and assemble when ready to serve.

Lightly sauté onions and peppers for a milder flavor while keeping crunch.
