Fourth of July Cake Pops are the ultimate patriotic dessert. Easy to make and fun to decorate, these pops are perfect for parties!
Ingredients
1 box white cake mix (prepared as directed)
2β3 tablespoons white frosting
11 oz white chocolate chips or melting wafers
24 wooden skewers or lollipop sticks
Red, white, and blue sprinkles
Instructions
Bake cake per box directions; let cool completely.
Crumble cooled cake into fine crumbs using a fork or hands.
Mix in 2 tablespoons frosting until dough-like; add more if needed.
Roll into 1-inch balls and place on wax-paper-lined tray.
Dip each skewer in melted chocolate and insert into a cake ball. Chill 1 hour.
Dip chilled cake pops in melted chocolate, let excess drip off.
Add sprinkles immediately before coating sets.
Refrigerate until chocolate hardens (15β30 minutes).
Notes
Chill cake balls before adding sticks to prevent cracks.
Thin chocolate with coconut oil for smoother coating.
Use a small cookie scoop for evenly sized pops.
