Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (pounded to ½” thickness)
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
3 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp unsalted butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
¼ cup dry white wine (optional)
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Flatten chicken breasts to a uniform ½-inch thickness using plastic wrap or parchment paper.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Lightly dredge the chicken in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked through. Transfer to a plate.
- Lower heat to medium. Add butter and melt. Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- (Optional) Pour in white wine, scraping up browned bits from the pan. Simmer 1 minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add Parmesan cheese, whisking until fully melted and sauce is creamy.
- Return chicken to pan, coat thoroughly in sauce, and warm through.
- Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half.
Use fresh Parmesan for best melting and flavor.
