Ingredients
1 1/2 cups cola-flavored carbonated beverage (12 oz. can)
1 1/4 cups crushed pretzels
2 tablespoons sugar
6 tablespoons butter, melted
2 (3 oz.) packages black cherry flavored gelatin
1 (11.75 oz.) jar Smucker’s® Black Cherry Flavored Topping
2 1/4 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed (divided)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F. Pour cola into a microwave-safe bowl and set aside.
Combine crushed pretzels, sugar, and melted butter. Press into an 8×8-inch baking pan. Bake for 10–12 minutes until lightly toasted. Cool completely.
Microwave cola on HIGH for 2 minutes or until boiling. Stir into gelatin until fully dissolved and foam disappears. Add black cherry topping. Chill 10–15 minutes until slightly thickened.
Mix 1 1/4 cups whipped topping with 1/2 cup gelatin mixture. Spread over cooled crust. Chill 10 minutes.
Gently spoon remaining gelatin mixture over the creamy layer. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
Top with remaining whipped topping before serving.
Notes
Use cherry cola for a more intense flavor.
Swap gelatin flavors for variety—raspberry or strawberry work well.
