Ingredients
4 slices of bread (white, whole grain, or gluten-free)
2 tablespoons spreadable cream cheese
1/4 cup strawberry preserves (or raspberry, cherry, or other red preserve)
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
1 banana, sliced and halved
Instructions
Toast bread slices until golden brown.
Spread 1/2 tablespoon of cream cheese on each toast.
Add 1 tablespoon of strawberry preserves over cream cheese.
Place 9 blueberries in the top-left corner to form “stars.”
Line halved banana slices in rows to mimic flag “stripes.”
Serve immediately.
Notes
Pat fruit dry before assembling to prevent sogginess.
Use chilled cream cheese for easier spreading.
Can prep fruit and toast in advance, but assemble right before serving.
